Queanbeyan flying field which is quite a distance out of Queanbeyan.
Take the road to Braidwood/ Bungendore. About 5 k out of Queanbeyan take a right turn to Captains Flat. After about 13 k there is a lane on the left named Little Whiskers rd. A short distance further and you will come to Briers Sharrow rd on the left. Turn onto this road until you reach a tee intersection and turn right ( Hoskinstown rd.) About 100 m along this road there is a gate on the right that takes you into the paddock of Queanbeyan MAC flying field.
It will take at least 1 1/2 hrs from Cooma to reach the location.
Pilots briefing at 9.15, flying starts at 9.30. $10 entry fee. Bring your own food and drinks.
Contact me if you need more information .
I can take 2 , maybe 3 passengers and aircraft. I will leave here at 7.45 am arrive back about 5pm
We will select a date for our round next year next sunday at the field.
2. 7 of us travelled to Bega on Sunday 4 th November and had an enjoyable day with about 13 of the Bega club members at the Frogs Hollow airstrip. We all had trouble tuning our motors to the lower altitude and denser air. Our club members are welcome anytime at their field. They fly Wednesday’s and Sunday’s from 8.39 till midday.
I will organize a return visit to our field sometime next year.
3. I will be away from 19.11.18 till 27.11.18
4. Denis had another explained crash on 2.4 gHz last Sunday . Fortunately damage was minimal. That is now 9 crashes on 2.4 gHz in the past 2 years.
See you at the field
